Today, meet Gilles Roux—a technology enthusiast who thrives on tough challenges.
A graduate of Polytechnique and Télécom, Gilles began his career at Bossard Consultants, one of the pioneers in business transformation. He then moved to Geodis, first as CIO, then leading logistics operations for the aerospace and defense sectors.
Next, the world of finance came calling: he joined the Crédit Agricole group, where he managed the application portfolio and several strategic projects for over a decade, eventually taking on responsibility for transformation and major programs within the investment bank.
It was curiosity, meaningful connections, and the desire to make a difference that led him, ten years ago, to become a Business Angel.

He explores different models: direct investments, through funds, or via entrepreneur networks. What he's looking for above all is direct connections, opportunities to make a difference—not pure financial mechanics.
Gilles and Asterion go way back: he had met Charles-Henry Choël in one of his previous lives, so he had a front-row seat when the Asterion ship took flight.
Early on, he decided to invest in Weefin. He went on to leverage his network to open doors for the team on multiple occasions, accelerating the growth of an already promising young company. The fit was so strong that he even reinvested during Weefin's recent Series A.
